1. What is hidden files?

Hidden files are the file name started with "." e.g. ".htaccess". These file will be hidden for some common FTP Software such as WS_FTP or IE FTP.

2. In what situation, hidden files will exist?

- to use .htaccess password protection function.
- install embeded htaccess software such as PHPBB, Leoboard.

3. Why sometimes I can't remove "Folder" using FTP?

If you are using WS_FTP or IE FTP , before remove a folder, you have to remove all files and folders within that folder. If there is some files inside, you have to remove them first.

However, if you already delete all files and folders, there is a error to delete the particular folder. This is because there is some hidden files inside.

To delete such files, you have to use other FTP software such as CuteFTP-Pro or FileZilla(Freeware).
